Doctor; I hate the loose skin on my arms.

As we get older the composition of our skin changes. Internal factors such as our genetic make-up and external factors such as nutrition, smoking, weight loss/gain, sun damage and more result in thinning of the skin and a loose crappy appearance. This can be quite distressing to patients in their late 40s and 50s.

Until a few years ago cutting surgery was the only option. Pulling the skin tightly using an arm or thigh lift results in extensive scarring and very few patients are completely happy with the resultant marks.

More recently another option has become available. The advances in laser surgery have led to the discovery of fractional CO2 laser resurfacing. The traditional CO2 laser could only be used on facial skin. The newer fractional CO2 laser (such as Mixto CO2) can now be used off the face in the chest, neck, arm, ad leg area.

I often combine this procedure with Ultherapy and Pelleve treatments (Ultrasound and Radiofrequency lifting) and obtain drastic and long lasting results.
