What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a cosmetic dermal filler that is setting a new standard for the correction of facial lines and wrinkles. Calcium-based Radiesse microspheres suspended in a natural gel are injected into the skin, which form a framework below the skin's surface. This supports and stimulates the production of your own collagen to rebuild the foundations of your skin, without the risks associated with using permanent dermal fillers.

What happens in a Radiesse treatment?

Radiesse is injected into the skin with a local anesthetic in a quick, simple Outpatient procedure at your doctor's office. Most patients return to normal activities soon after treatment. Many patients will find their desired results are achieved with possibly one treatment. However, because results are long-lasting, the physician may schedule a follow-up appointment to ensure you're satisfied with the treatment and may recommend a touch-up.

How long will a Radiesse treatment last?

Over time the calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed into the body, leaving natural collagen behind.

Is it safe?

Radiesse has been thoroughly tested worldwide, both in the industry and independently, and is FDA approved. More than 250,000 patients have undergone Radiesse, and more than 4,000 physicians have been trained to provide the treatment.

You may notice some normal reactions such as mild irritation, tenderness, or swelling at the injection site, but these conditions typically resolve on their own with in one to two days. Individual results may vary, consult your doctor to make sure you are a good candidate for this treatment.
