In my opinion attention to detail is what sets apart a great surgeon from an average one. One of the things I discuss with my patients before performing a facelift is the way their ears look. Ears, like many other parts of the body, succumb to the force of gravity and heavy ear rings. They strech, become saggy, and wrinkly. Here is how we improve the ears...
I often peel or laser the ear lobes to tighten the skin. Skin tears are repared at the same time and a new position for the pearcing is chosen.
Additionally the lost volume can also be restored. This is often done with placement of 1-2cc of the patients own concentrated fat. I have also used Restylane and Radiesse to achieve long lasting results without invasive surgery. This way the youthful and plump earlobe, a sign of virility in some cultures, is restored.
Please don't neglect your earlobes. Apply sunscreen to them and they will stay beautiful for many decades.
I love your website! I'd love to have a consultation with you, I just need to figure out when I could get down there. I'm in Carmel area, do you refer to anyone in my area?
Thanks
