Non surgical Butt lift instead of Brazilian Butt lift BBB with Sculptra and Ultherapy / Thermage combination
Many women consider improving the appearence of their buttocks and thighs. Unfortunately treatment options are limited and include surgery and fat transfer with BBB which can have significant risks and downtime.
Another less invasive option is to tighten the skin with either Ultrasound or Radiofrequency (Ultherapy, Thermage, Thermi, Venus Viva and more) and achieve augmentation and projection with fillers such as Sculptra. SCulptra for example can last up to 5 years.
The non surgical approach is safer and less invasive than fat grafting and BBB.
On the other hand treatment results are more modest and not every one is a candidate.

Did you know that the mini Facelift called "Tuliplift" can be performed under local anesthesia?
Many patients and physicians are quite surprised to hear that a cutting / surgical facelift can be performed completely under local anesthesia. I have been practicing Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery since 1999. During this time I have performed hundreds of face, neck, eyelid, and body surgeries under local anesthesia. Mild sedation with oral valium and an injection of a pain killer (such as Demerol ) is all that is ever needed.
I have developed a procedure that involves the removal of excess skin AND tightening of the muscle (fascia and SMAS plication) that can be performed under local anesthesia. Some patients decide against having a facelift because of the risks associated with general anesthesia. Our trademarked Tuliplift procedure is performed without general anesthesia.
Here are the steps involved:
The skin is prepped in a sterile fashion in our operating room.
A dilute solutioon of numbing called "Klein Solution" is injected into the neck and face are
Excess fat is gently suctioned by hand (not a machine)
excess skin is marked off and removed from in front of the ears and behind the ears
SMAS / facial Muscle is tightened using permanent and dissolvable sutures
Skin is gently re-draped and sutured with dissolvable and semi-permanent sutures
sutures are removed 7-10 days later
2 weeks later the scars are reduced using Mixto fraction resurfacing

What causes Post Inflamatory Hyper-pigmentation (PIH) and how to treat it
OK; this morning I want to talk to you about a condition called “post inflammatory hyperpigmentation” (PIH)
Our bodies are basically over 3 billion years old and have developed various mechanisms to protect themselves against the outside environment. If you have darker skin complexion you are much more likely to develop brown spots and hyperpigmentation after any kind of trauma such as acne, picking, burning, or just scratching the skin. This dark pigmentation can also occur with various lasers and Micro needling or even after sunburn, allergies, or chemical peels. The skin is simply protecting itself against the trauma by becoming darker.
Treating these dark spots is quite challenging. Without treatment they may go away after a few weeks or it may take many months for them to gradually disappear.
Too aggressive treatments can actually exacerbate the problem and cause more brown spots. Treatment: We start conservative by applying topical fading lotions, prescription grade vitamin A cream, Vitamin C cream and glycolic and kojic acid. If this doesn’t work we do light chemical peels and Microderm abrasion‘s.
Ultimately light laser treatments that are specifically geared towards removing pigmentation such as clear and brilliant laser and mixto fractional CO2 resurfacing can be used to even the skin complexion.
It is also important to break the cycle and prevent new brown spots from occurring while you are getting rid of the old spots.
See your dermatologist and allow him or her to put a program together for you to remove these brown spots and make 2019 a year with a perfect clear complexion.
